Pía Tavolari G.

Studies

She studied at Universidad de Valparaíso, from which she graduated in 2000, she received her law degree in 2003 and holds a Ph.D. in Procedural Law from the University of Freiburg, Germany.

She has completed the following continuing education programs:

  • Postgraduate Diploma on Criminal Procedure, at Universidad de Valparaíso.
  • Civil Law Course (major in contracts), at Universidad de Salamanca, Spain.
  • Introduction to Anglo – American Law course, taught by Harvard University in conjunction with the University of Freiburg, Germany.
  • American Civil Procedure Course, taught by Harvard University in conjunction with the University of Freiburg, Germany.
  • Management Program for Lawyers course, at Yale University, United States

She was a fellow of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Germany.

Experience

She has been a speaker at various conferences and seminars about the civil process and has participated in conferences on this subject in Chile and abroad.

Since 2012, she has been professor of Procedural Law at Universidad de Chile, and has taught the same lecture at Universidad Diego Portales (2009 to 2011), Universidad del Desarrollo (2012) and Universidad Alberto Hurtado (2008).

She has taught courses at the Judicial Academy.
